Introducing: The Chateau Coat!

Introducing: The Chateau Coat!

Simple and elegant. A dash of Audrey Hepburn with a sprinkle of Jackie O. – that is the Chateau Coat. Whether you make it in a bold Missoni knit or classic black Scuba, this is the jacket that people will stop you on the street to ask about. "Where did you get that fabulous coat?" The answer? "Well, I made it of course!"

The Chateau is a loose-fitting, open-front coat with dolman sleeves and front slit pockets. It also features raw edges and lap seam construction making it perfect for no-fray fabrics like scuba. Above, Linda is wearing a version made with our black and grey scuba, but you could make a bold version using a fun scuba print, like the floral, Aztec print, and polka dot shown below.

Alex looks dashing in her red Chateau coat – it is so striking on a simple outfit of black leggings and a black top! Using this soft red wool gives the coat a much softer drape than the scuba, which has more body. There are so many nice, light wools to choose from, but here are three of our favorites: a rich brushed wool in red, a classic black tweed, and a gorgeous gold boucle.

Red Brushed Wool $28/yd

Black Tweed $28/yd

Gold Citrus Boucle $26/yd

The Chateau doesn't have to be made with a no-fray material, we have included instructions for a knit bias binding to finish the edges. See the fabulous Missoni wool version Erin is wearing at the top? The blue trim isn't just decorative, it keeps that tweed from fraying! We are so excited about this new pattern and hope you are as well. The Chateau Coat is now available for only $18.00, but that deal won't last long!
