Enjoy celebrating the 4th of July this weekend! 

​This starry Tremont Jacket was an easy make. The fabric is stable but has enough drape for the pattern. I used a vintage button from my collection for the closure. I can wear this look to the office, out to dinner, and I'm kind of wishing I would have worn it to film my last Craftsy class! (Click here for a discount on all my classes and for the latest class on Taming Tricky Fabrics.)

I tested the fabric by pre-washing a swatch. The good news was that the metallic paint stayed intact. However, I felt the washed swatch was too limp for the look I wanted so I used fabric straight from the bolt and I will dry clean as needed.
