17:00:23 From Shelby Smarte : We are having bad air quality in Kentucky, too. 17:00:51 From Mary Jackson : Also bad on the Eastern Shore. 17:00:58 From Mary Jackson : of Maryland! 17:01:23 From Jane Dumler : Come to Denver—good air quality but tornado warnings out 17:01:31 From Ann Rudkin : Bad in Piedmont NC, too. 17:01:36 From iPad : Also in Northern Baltimore County. 17:01:51 From Jeanne Stanley : I have made 2 ruffled sleeves...one in the kit pink and one in a stash fabric...love them both ! 17:02:02 From Shelby Smarte : I am just finishing my trial garment on the etee. I only have the hem and some of the sashiko stitching I am doing. 17:02:15 From Bonnie mangold Air 2 (2) : Two, a blue firework ruffled sleeve and a dark pink with inner pleat - loved them 17:02:26 From Ann Rudkin : I’m having my usual neckline issues — only this time worse. 17:02:31 From Jeanne Stanley : yes, the sleeves ready to go was very nice ! 17:02:34 From iPad : I made ruffled sleeve. Wearing. Long sleeve version started 17:02:56 From Breta Skinner : 2 pleat sleeve, prints I had on hand 17:03:21 From Sandra : Made eTee with lengthened sleeve in a light teal with cotton jersey. Just finishing up today. Hot here near Abilene and surrounded by wheat harvest. 17:04:01 From MaryLou Corrigan : No sleeve option project yet but I did make a 3/4 length sleeve that I really like. 17:04:41 From Beth Wehrman : Ruffled sleeve out of a print on hand. The other 2 sleeves to go. 17:08:25 From rhonda gatti : Hello friends! 17:10:41 From MaryLou Corrigan : Those flowers look like Kaffe Fassett designs being promoted and sold with new Bernina embroidery machines… 17:15:01 From Barbara's iPad : So cute! Congratulations 🎈 17:16:36 From Barbara's iPad : Love the shirt! 17:18:26 From iPad : Prefer to make my own. 17:18:57 From rhonda gatti : I’d buy a ready made Crane street t shirt. 17:18:58 From Shary Rosenbaum : Replying to "Prefer to make my ow..." Me, too 17:18:58 From Barbara's iPad : Very interesting! I could use a premade shirt for this project 17:20:24 From Sandra : Would like to do embroidery class but probably prefer to make my own shirt. 17:20:28 From Nancy Daquino : Unfortunately I had to alter the Crane St. Tee quite a bit to make it fit. I’m dubious that a pre-made shirt would work for me. 17:20:44 From Karen Provost : I love the concept, and the initiative to teach women to sew, but ready made doesn’t fit me well. 17:21:20 From Alex Woodbury : Here is the link to the 1 questions survey: https://us7.list-manage.com/survey?u=27dc68f4de1e2f677c86af41c&id=bc343bca65&attribution=false 17:23:45 From Ann Rudkin : I did have a question about neck binding. 17:25:52 From Ann Rudkin : I sent an email, but it was probably too late. 17:30:21 From Shelby Smarte : Is her gathering at the neckline on the shirt or the binding is gathering? 17:30:58 From Nancy Daquino : Replying to "Is her gathering at ..." good question 17:31:33 From theresadaniels : same problem 17:31:55 From Ann Whitmyer : I tried using cover stitch for the top stitching the binding on the neckline and it was fabulous. 17:33:02 From Breta Skinner : I actually baste it on first, put it on, then either adjust or machine sew 17:33:19 From Nancy Daquino : Reacted to "I actually baste it ..." with 😊 17:33:45 From iPad : I agree it should be longer. I have had same problem. 17:33:50 From Nancy Daquino : Reacted to "I agree it should be..." with 👍 17:33:56 From Nancy Daquino : Removed a 👍 reaction from "I agree it should be..." 17:34:16 From Breta Skinner : are you stretching the binding as you sew? 17:35:04 From Beth Elliott : maybe her even feed is malfunctioning. perhaps turn off even feed? 17:36:12 From Breta Skinner : I made the pleat out of a light rayon jersey, and I question that the pleat will not "hold" it's shape 17:36:27 From Shary Rosenbaum : I sometimes find it works better to leave one shoulder seam open, attach the neck binding, and then sew that seam after the neckband is done. Of course it's not as neat as having the neckband seam and the center back, but it does work. 17:36:43 From Nancy Daquino : Reacted to "I sometimes find it ..." with 👍 17:36:58 From Shary Rosenbaum : Not and, AT the center back looks better 17:36:58 From Georgia’s iPad : I love the 7/8 rule as a starting point ,7/8 = o.875 yay 😀 works most of the time , 17:38:45 From Mary Schwartz : I have had trouble getting the binding to lie flat, is that because the binding is a bit too long? 17:39:42 From Joyce : when measuring for the 7/8 rule, do you measure the cut edge or the seam line? after calculating the 7/8 length do you add seam allowance or is it included? 17:40:02 From Barbara's iPad : What pattern is your shirt Linda 17:40:10 From Breta Skinner : my notes from previous Facebook live is the seamline 17:40:51 From iPad : Isn’t that an available tutorial? 17:41:03 From MaryLou Corrigan : I love that look! 17:41:22 From Alex Woodbury : Yes, this is a tutorial: https://sewingworkshop.com/shop/Serger-Made-Memphis-Dress-p83557579 17:42:20 From Cynthia : The color scheme for an issue is fascinating. I had no idea they did that. I've been a publisher for 20+ years and have never heard of that, but it's a great idea. 17:43:04 From Barbara's iPad : Can you repeat that 17:43:51 From Shary Rosenbaum : Are you measuring the seamline including the shoulder seam area? 17:44:05 From Alex Woodbury To Ann Whitmyer(privately) : What’s your question, Ann? 17:44:08 From rhonda gatti : I wore my cottage shirt like Linda is wearing today and had more people comment on my shirt than anything else I’ve worn. 17:44:26 From Breta Skinner : Reacted to "I wore my cottage sh..." with 👍 17:44:29 From Jeanne Stanley : Reacted to "I wore my cottage sh..." with 👍 17:44:51 From Nancy Daquino : Replying to "I wore my cottage sh..." I wish the deadline was longer 17:49:43 From catherine w To Alex Woodbury(privately) : Alex, do you still need donations for your kids group in Cleveland? 17:49:46 From Barbara's iPad : Went there today! 17:51:05 From Alex Woodbury : Here is the link to the blog: https://sewingworkshop.com/new-blog/the-sewing-workshop-x-munuo-instagram-challenge 17:52:06 From Helen Wall : I'm going to stay stitch the neckline before sewing the neck binding in place. This may help to control it I think you did this in the May eTee. 17:52:34 From kathy aken-roux : I want it!!!!!! 17:53:40 From Alex Woodbury : Karen, you can always post an inspirational image (just like what you saw with mine!) if you don’t have time to make the entire ensemble. 17:55:02 From Karen Provost : Replying to "Karen, you can alway…" Oh really Alex? I just love this idea of a challenge using a piece of artwork.👏🏼 Thank you 17:55:41 From Beth Elliott : what is the fabric content? 17:56:00 From Jeanne Stanley : so cute ! 17:56:02 From Nancy Daquino : I like it!! 17:56:03 From Barbara's iPad : Very cute! 17:56:06 From MaryLou Corrigan : Really like the whole look! 17:56:11 From Karen Provost : I love this project! 17:56:20 From Shary Rosenbaum : I love that! 17:56:34 From rhonda gatti : I love love the July project. 17:56:39 From MaryLou Corrigan : When will the kits be available? 17:56:52 From Shary Rosenbaum : Will the kits be available tomorrow? 17:56:59 From Nancy Daquino : Replying to "Karen, you can alway..." This is good to know. I always have intentions that aren’t always successful. 17:57:09 From Alex Woodbury : Reacted to "This is good to know..." with 👍 17:57:14 From Alex Woodbury : Reacted to "Oh really Alex? Worked with fabric before and it’s neat! 18:01:23 From Joyce : how much of each pattern is needed to make the shirt as pictured 18:02:04 From Karen Provost To Alex Woodbury(privately) : Thank you Alex! After washing in hot water I then wash again in cold water and depending on the amount of excess dye that came out first time I put in another color catcher. Works fine for me. 18:06:49 From Breta Skinner : someone must have grabbed the open SewKansis ;)
