We are so appreciative of the amazing reception you have given the Chateau Coat since its release earlier this week! One of the things we like most about the Chateau is how adaptable it is – you can make it in many different fabrications, which give the same garment so many looks. Inspired by the Chateau's versatility, we have designed a number of kits to coordinate with the coat. From a tech fabric to a classic wool, there is an option for everyone!
Scuba fabrics give structure to garments and make for a really interesting tech look. A Chateau made from Scuba, which you can see Linda wearing in the above image, really keeps it's shape and accentuates the dolman sleeves on the garment. Scuba is a no-fray fabric, which makes construction simple - no hemming or finishing required! We are offering two scuba kits, one is a black backed with grey knit, shown above, and the other is grey on grey.
For a bolder coat, look no further than our Missoni Wool kits! You can make your own designer couture coat using these gorgeous Missoni tweeds. You may notice that the Missoni jacket that Kathy is wearing in the below picture has a binding. That is our solution for creating the Chateau with a fraying fabric. Our kits have been designed with this in mind, and we have paired some great knit/Missoni combinations. The first option is a bold blue tweed with pops of fuschia, yellow and black. We have paired that with a lovely, dark heathered jersey in blueberry. Our second kit option is a classic black and white color combination, paired with a graphic grey and white striped jersey.
For those of you who love the look of the wool but don't want to deal with the binding, may I suggest one of our boucle kits? English boucle is a wonderful fabric to work with - another no-fray fabric, which means not having to worry about hemming and finishing. The weight of this fabric gives the Chateau a softer drape, which you can see in the red version that Linda is wearing below. We are offering kits for the red, as well as the bright and bold gold citrus boucle.
