If you caught Linda and Kathy's video on making a pieced Eureka Top and want to make one for yourself, we've uploaded Kathy's "map" of the patchwork size piece she made for her top. Happy sewing!
Inspired by a ready-to-wear shirt, Kathy decided to create a patchwork Eureka Tee using 6 coordinating fabrics with different colors, scale, and tones. She used a combination of silks and viscose woven fabrics, all of which were similar weights.
To begin, she traced the Eureka pattern and started mapping out the sizes and patchwork shapes that she wanted to use on the pattern itself. She decided to lengthen the front 6 ½", and the back 9 ½" (using the lengthen/shorten line included on the pattern). After piecing the fabric, Kathy chose to serge finish the seams.
And here is her final product!
