We are so excited to debut our newest pattern...the Madrid! This relaxed fit, hip-length top has a unique diagonal button front, which curves into a funnel collar. The flattering tapered sleeves and Asymmetric hemlines will look great on many body types and, depending on your fabric choice, the Madrid top can be worn as a shirt or a jacket. The pants are fitted with a contour waistband that sits just below your waist.
As we have been developing the pattern, we have enjoyed experimenting with a variety of fabrics. It is fun to see how one jacket style can look so different, just because of a new fabric choice. Check out some of our favorite looks below...
Two Looks, One Jacket
In the two looks shown above, Erin wears the same Madrid top but demonstrates how it can be styled for two completely different looks. On the left, she wears it as a top paired with a loose pant in a warm burgundy. On the right, she works a layered look, wearing the Madrid as a light knit jacket over a fun lace tee. Again, she contrasts the neutral jacket with a bold pant, this time in Royal Blue.

Day To Night
The Madrid isn't just to wear on casual days. It can also work with dressier outfits, as modeled by Briana and Erin. Briana wears a bright, textured Madrid over our Cityscapes dress, made in a comfortable knit. This ensemble is dressy enough to wear to work, but comfortable enough to wear all the time! Erin's Madrid looks totally different. This sophisticated ensemble pairs an Asian-inspired Madrid, with a sleek, black skirt. Wear this outfit with flat sandals in the office and dress it up with heels to go out for the evening.

The Layered Look
Kathy's Madrid is made from a heathered jersey which she has layered over a coordinating t-shirt, and paired with a wide-leg drapey pair of pants pants made in a soft knit. This is such a perfect outfit for Fall, especially for those days that start out chilly and end up hot!
