ParisLondon Textile Immersive

When: September 13 - 22, 2026
Where: Paris, France & London, England

About the Workshop:

Join the Sewing Workshop team for an immersive textile experience in Paris and London!

This is a fabric lover's dream trip. We will start in the gorgeous city of Paris. Our exploration of the City of Lights will take us from the ateliers of historic designers to the boudoir of France's last great queen. From couture sewing to antique textiles, Paris's light will shine on its unique textile history. Meanwhile, we aren't fully living in the past – we will take that inspiration with us as we explore the incredible fabric and haberdashery stores of the city. Plus, we'll get a chance to create our own memento of our Parisian adventure in a private embroidery workshop.

After our sojourn in Paris, we will travel to the vibrant city of London. Here our journey will take us to legendary fabric stores, as we explore the creative culture that is embedded in this artistic city. Flowers seem to be at the heart of everything in England, and we'll learn how to sew a botanical masterpiece with designer Lora Avedian. Speaking of masterpieces, we will have the opportunity to visit the famed Victoria and Albert Museum and see the Elsa Schiaparelli exhibit. From the quaint to the surreal, London will fill our senses with creative energy.

As an artist, it will be fascinating to visit two historical cities with such a different creative vibe. We know you'll be able to draw upon the wonderful experiences of this trip in your future projects.
