Join us for a one-day workshop conducted by Diane Hall of Florence, Alabama. Diane works alongside Natalie Chanin of Alabama Chanin, a lifestyle company producing well-designed and thoughtfully made goods using 100% organic cotton jersey and traditional hand stitches to produce one-of-a-kind embellished clothing. She will teach us the ins-and-outs of the hand stitching that goes into producing these fabulous garments.

We will provide pre-stenciled organic knit pieces plus thread for you to make a stitching sampler. Learn age-old hand stitches used in new ways to create garments, furnishings and fabrics. Techniques include reverse appliqué, negative reverse appliqué, running stitch, backstitch and couching. All materials and supplies will be provided.
