Join The Sewing Workshop for a three-day sewing adventure creating your own piece of textile art, the Fractured Appliqué Jacket! In this workshop, Linda and Kathy will share creative concepts and techniques to add a stunning reverse appliqué, all-over design to the Chicago Jacket. Day One will focus on fitting the pattern and planning your design motif. On Day Two, you will make stitch samples and begin your project, and on Day Three you will finish your stitching and begin jacket construction.
This jacket is made from two fabrics, a heavier wool for the base, and a lighter woven for the appliqué layer. You can choose from five different kit colorways of grey, green, teal, blue or burgundy. Kits include the fabrics, pattern, button and thread. These options will be emailed to you in early January as well as instructions for prep work and supplies to bring.
This will be a fun three days of learning new design concepts and sewing and stitching techniques that you can apply to more garment projects.
