This fabric is a summer favorite here at The Sewing Workshop. The small gingham check gives off a "ready to party at a picnic" vibe, but, lest the small gingham looks too twee, the fabric features random seersucker slubs that add visual and textural interest.

If you are a long-time follower of The Sewing Workshop, this fabric probably looks familiar. We order new colors every summer and Linda practically lives in her blue gingham Picasso Pants (see photo above). While she chose to make pants with the fabric, it is light enough to also work for a shirt like the Cottage or Hugo.

This lightweight cotton blend fabric features a crosswise stretch. It has a matte and textured finish. It is suitable for pants, shirts, skirts, and dresses.
